Devastating morning 😭

Nothing to do with AF but had the most devastating morning

My beautiful, 6 year old Siamese cat had an aortic aneurysm early this morning

One minute she was running around making her usual demands and the next she couldn't get up on her hind legs.

Rushed her to the Vet but nothing could be done and she died at 8am

I loved her so much 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

  • Aw 😭 so sorry Puddychops...

Our animals bring something special to our lives don't they...

    Their loss is immeasurable.. 😭

  • So sorry to hear that Puddychops, absolutely heartbreaking for you! Pets are as dear to us as humans and their loss is just as traumatic.

Big hug, my friend, really feel for you in your sadness.

  • Our animals are part of our family.Following what seemed to be a minor cough my beautiful ginger cat was found to have 'a large mass' in his lungs. No other warning and no possibility of surgery. I share your grief and I make no apologies for saying this to you regarding an animal on this site.

  • Thank you 😭

  • So sorry to hear this.

  • Oh dear, I am sorry. I completely know how you will be feeling right now. Our animals give us so much unconditional love and loyalty and leave such a hole when they die. Allow yourself a big long cry, it will do you good. X

  • You were so lucky to have such a beautiful animal to share part of your life with. She is now in the Rainbow Brige, you will see her again someday. Please look up the Rainbow Brige on the internet (I do not know how to attach to this site) I think the words will help you through this sad time. So sorry you are hurting, we animal lovers have all been where you are today.

  • So sorry, can't think of anything comforting to say but I hope it helps that we have felt the same pain πŸ’”

  • What a sudden and untimely loss but the enrichment to our lives that pets bring will last.

  • So so sorry about this. We lost a kitten the other day and so can totally relate to this xxxxx

  • Our pets were precious to us too, so we know how you feel.......

  • I feel for you. I love all cats, not just my own, but all I see. I read recently that cats have 3 feet firmly planted in the wild, and it's that innocence which endears them to me. I lost my oldest cat (only 4 at the time) in a road traffic accident 2 years ago. I grieve for your loss.

  • I am so sorry for your loss. We have a rescue cat, a Tortoisehell. We have had her 8 years and when she chose us to love and care for her, vets at the rescue centre put her age roughly at 10 then, so now going 18 ish we know she has limited years left. When her time comes we know we'll be devastated and so share your sadness now.

  • My last Siamese lived until she was 19

I thought I had all the time in the world with this one

My greatest fear was that she would outlive me but I never imagined I would lose her like this at 6 years old

I have just been looking at all her photographs and dissolving into tearsπŸ˜₯

  • So sorry for the loss of your fur baby big hug heading your way xx

  • Oh Puddychops I am so sorry to hear of your sad news. Siamese are such beautiful cats and to lose your pet so suddenly must be devastating. Annel

  • Yes she was beautiful. Bon Bon was a red point with a big personality, everybody loved her.

I looked up the problem and it is called an abdominal aneurysm at the bottom of the aorta and it paralyses the legs. They are also in a lot of pain

  • How awful, sooo sorry to hear about your cat. I can empathise totally since my beloved 12 year old dog developed pancreatitis this week and it was touch and go for 24 hours.

What a whole her death will leave in your already battered heart.
