Well my Cardioversion did the trick for a little while, but I am now back in AF and due to have my 4th Ablation in 2 weeks time, this AF has been hard work this time as I have had to be off work for 6 weeks due to being totally exhausted.
AF Back again: Well my Cardioversion... - Atrial Fibrillati...
AF Back again
Good luck.
I'm new here, so hello all. I was diagnosed with AF in July of '16. Tried drugs, then cardioversion, that worked for a bit. Then had an ablation Jan '18. Today it is April 13 and my afib has been back for a week....to answer the above comment, I think alcohol brought mine back. I quit drinking and then had two jack n cokes with an old friend. The next day it hit. Please note we basically live at sea level and when I had my drinks we were in the mountains at 5k ft. A side not, I had a cold a few weeks ago and took Nyquil for about five nights to sleep. Bad idea....This am my pulse was 127 and it's consistently been over 100 for a week. After the ablation, it was at 70. So, PapaDon, I'm no expert, but I think the alcohol did me in....
Welcome, exbcmc! (Btw, If you like, you can also say hi any time with a shiny new thread all of your own )
Sorry you’ve had a return of the dreaded AF - SO gutting, i know.
Have you been in touch with your EP to see what next? Really hope this is just a blip and you’ll be back in sinus rhythm soon. (Sounds like you’ll be avoiding alcohol like the plague 😖) x
Oh that’s rotten, PapaDon, I’m so sorry you’re feeling so rough. Sending you healing wishes - do let us know how the ablation goes xx
