I know i have posted a few times, out of nowhere i got this pressure in my chest, like a gas pressure? My knees are not numb but heavy...im worried is this normal? Is this healing? I am nervous they modidied my pacemaker...it doesn't hurt so much, im just nervous...i mean it is the heart its vital..I guess im just scared. At first the pressure was on the top of my heart now its in my sternum and lower portion of my left side...like gas? Idk....i couldn't awe much when searching. I just need reassurance, it doesn't say anything in my packet o brought home.

You do sound very anxious and anxiety in itself could cause those symptoms but if they persist it would be a good idea to get any other cause ruled out by your doctor.

Perhaps also talk to your doctor about help with managing your anxiety?

When I had my ablation I was in a panic beforehand and couldn't understand why because I had had a really long dangerous operation before without a quiver of nerves! The nurse who was preparing me simply said 'It's the heart', so I can understand your anxiety very well! It is common to have weird feelings after a procedure and sometimes we wonder why medics shrug them off but as I have discovered they go on signs and symptoms, not how bad you feel! If you don't have symptoms such as faintness or dizziness, nausea, cold sweating, fever etc then your body is probably just adjusting, but any of those would justify contact with a health professional asap.

Turns out they punctured a whole thru my heart to get to my pacemaker so it is just my heart swelling while healin they said they told me but i was not coherent enough to remember.
