Well I have had about of flu followed by bronchitis and no sign of AF,normally any infection virus or bacteria start AF with a vengeance so still think that unfinished ablation last July has certainly had some good effect, happy so far.
Last Friday 16th had my first cataract op all went well so pleased with result made me realise how bad my eyesight was, can't wait to have other eye done and this from someone who was terrified even thinking about it over the last few months. Quality of life has improved dramatically for me with heart and eyesight

Terrific news Jane, it's great to hear that things are going well for you after such a difficult time....t'is very encouraging for all the members.......John
Very good news on both fronts Jane - I dread both flu and the future possibility of cataract surgery. I’m told by friends that colours appear more vivid - enjoy.
Hi Jane - My husband had both his eyes done four years ago - his first comment was the colour of the traffic lights, how bright they were. He also found that before he could not distinguish between blue and green colours, he said it was a different world after his ops. The other thing was that with the new lenses he now did not need to wear glasses - he had worn glasses for the last 40 years!!! It took me a while to get used to him without them. Good to hear that things are going well - keep it up.
Having lens replacement in both eyes (by choice) was the best thing I have ever done. It just so happened that an early cataract was found. I was very nervous but found the procedure a bit strange but totally bearable and pain free, and over so quickly. And living with ‘new eyes’ is bliss. I have become almost evangelical about the procedure! So enjoy your new found sight.
And delighted about your restful heart, long may it continue.
