Copper Levels

A recent blood test showed up high levels of copper in my body. Has anybody else who is or was on Amiodarone experienced the same? Upside is the family can sell me off for scrap.

Well I took Amiodarone for a while on two separate occasions, but I don't recall anyone ever checking my copper levels. If they did they didn't tell me. They kept a watch on my thyroid and it eventually became apparent that it was damaging that. Was yours discovered via a blood test?

Hello Jean. I came off Amiodarone in October because it was clearly toxic for me. Blood tests confirmed that after three months off the drug my thyroid and liver function are much improved but my copper levels are a tad high. I don't take any supplements and I don't eat anything which I think may cause this and was curious as to whether the Amiodarone was responsible.

been on amiodarone for 2 years and had over active thyroid for about 18 moths, endocronolagist said its nothing to do with the amiodarone, but i'm shore it is, but there the experts

Amazing isn't it. My EP says it is. Conflicting advice is not helpful!
