Has any one had a Ablation for flutter privately in U K,

I think its a fairly quick procedure, and how much did it cost

You should not have to pay! Ask for two referrals, it is your right.

Probably to beat the queue. I've been on a list for flutter ablation for over 12 months

The N H S is grinding to a holt, you should never have to wait that long

It actually works in my favour as I’m not really sure whether I want the procedure. I’ve spent 6 months while on the waiting list in NSR

I don't know what the cost is in UK, but for Bordeaux, France it is 16,551 Euros. The cost is the same whether it is long atrial fibrillation procedure or a short atrial flutter one.

I had quotes for PVI for AF. Back in 2005 I was told it was around £10k, and a few years ago about £15k. I was also warned that in the unlikely event that something went seriously wrong, then they might have to call in a surgeon urgently and that could cost a small fortune. So if you're going private check out what is covered by the quote. Sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs!

Not sure how that relates to one for flutter?

I had one private ablation and also one done 10 years later on the NHS.
