Why? The article is about anticoagulants (warfarin and NOACs/DOACs) not aspirin.

Or were you 'joking'/being ironic?

Was not joking at all. No point in being ironic. I know many people who are on aspirin for it's blood thinning prowess...

OK. Sorry. It's just that anticoagulants are not blood thinners, are they? So why would this article encourage people to buy more aspirin?

I believe aspirin is used for people at risk of stroke from artereosclerosis and the like ie from thickening arteries etc. It should not be used for people at risk of stroke from AF. The two problems are quite different.

No, but sale of anticoagulants may increase. Aspirin is not an anticoagulant.
