Hi marytommo,I personally just slowly dropped from 2 omeprazole a day to one a week,I had a lot of nausea and thought the pills were causing it so over 2 weeks I dropped to 1 a day and didn't feel any better but also felt no worse, then 1 every other day over 2 weeks and the nausea improved but the reflux didn't go any worse and so on until I now just take 1 every week but if I feel the reflux worsening I have a few days back on 1 a day.I think people get used to taking the same amount of pills and don't really know what is the right amount so really its trial and error.hope you are soon sorted

Hi Marytommo ,my wife Had disabling PMR.every joint ached

She was put on 20 mg steroids which is not pleasant but it relieved

the symptoms and gradually reduced the dose until now she is free of it.

Do not despair it often goes away eventually but make sure you have blood tests

to check for inflammation.

Thanks. Yes I can relate to all your wife's experiences and it's taken me 4 years to get to this point with no Prednisilone. It's just reducing the other drugs that protect stomache and bones I'm not sure "howto"! Hope your wife and I can put this PMR behind us once and for all....

I agree with argzxoni61- slowly with gradual reductions which is what I have been doing with Bisoprolol. Terry
