Pre op is tomorrow so I'm having a day trip to Manchester. This'll be my 3rd ablation and my first one since Christmas 2014.
I didn't know my partner back then, but she's bricking it more than I am. It's been weird trying to explain it to her and her family and how it's not "a big deal" even though at the back of my mind getting stabbed in the crotch and internally burnt by a wire sounds like it.
It's difficult with the new baby, she's getting her sister to look after number 1 child, and coming up with me for day of operation with new baby.... we're staying at my parents (we live in Derbyshire) and checking I'm alright on day of op before going home. I will have a few days rest at my mums and follow on towards the end of the week.
Nearly 3 years seems like such a long time but I can vaguely remember the previous occasions of medazolane, fem block, bleeding out the crotch, 18 hours bed rest.....
Any advice for my other half or myself to make it a bit easier on her/us/both?
