What a surprise! Following my three month check up which I wrote about in my last post I thought I'd give it a week and phone admissions to make sure I was on the list. As soon as I gave them my name everything went a bit mad they said they had an email from my EP putting me on as urgent and there and then asked if i could be at St Thomas's the very next morning at 8am; the day before yesterday. So here I am home now after second ablation feeling a bit tender and very tired.
My EP had told me that he thought some of the veins had probably repaired themselves and found that when he started the reconnection of the right sided veins and left inferior pulmonary vein the right upper pulmonary vein went into AF and there is a possibility that this is what has been causing me all the trouble so fingers crossed that I have been lucky this time and my problem has been sorted.
Just got to try and take it easy again to let it all settle down.
Here was me thinking it could another long wait and it's all done, it's still hard to believe.

Wow, that was some surprise! I'm glad to hear that your EP thinks he found the cause for your AF. Lots of rest now and keep us informed please of how you get on.
That's wonderful news and the speed must have cut down on your worry time. I find st Thomas hospital excellent and am pleased to be cared for by them myself. If we have to have af then we are in good hands there.
Here's to an af free future for you. Incidentally who is your EP. Best wishes.
Thank you all once again for your replies and all the support over the last few months . I will definitely keep you up to date on my progress. Chest is really aching at the moment so I think I'm up for an early night. Didn't get discharged until 3.30pm yesterday so only arrived back home at about 6pm. Very early days !!
Great news......all over almost before you knew it started!!! All sounds very positive so take it easy.....If Bob's boys are like their dad I think you should do as you are told!!!!!
My experience is that the medical and nursing staff are wonderful, not so much the administrative staff who made blunder after blunder during my last 18 months of hospital visits and ablations etc.
