PIP again.

Just sitting here in my usual place, when the idea came to mind of something that plays on my mind many times, so, maybe others trying to get a successful result of their claim and being refused can answer or at least think about. How is it that people with carers can get PIP and those who need help and don't get any support at all are refused? Dave

I am 63 years old, and also have heart disease with a stent fitted and had two other arteries cleaned out. I've had an ablation. I have angina. I have epilepsy, had 3 brain injuries and 2 TIAs. On the 23rd of the month I have an appointment at Birmingham City hospital to have tests for Neuropathy. I'm applying for the Knackers yard, and I don't mean for a job. Dave

daveeb I think you're just saying how it feels today. I know some places Citizens advice are overworked (+ I wonder why) Might be worth looking on British. Heart Foundation website too. Theoretically at least, the Benefits Helpline should help you. Complete forms over the phone. Always declare how you feel on the bad days

I've just got back from a blood test and saw that I'd got your post. Thanks for that. I will be trying the disability rights just now and also the CAB through headway (due to brain injuries). Dave x

Wrong initials PIP is pill in pocket on AF forum.

Oh. I'm sorry about that but in the UK , there's a disability benefit called "Personal Independence Payment ", hence PIP. Is this a geographical misunderstanding?

What do the initials PIP in your post stand for?

Good morning Jean. Personal Independence Payment is a disability benefit in the UK. Sorry about the confusion. It's one hell of a job to get it. You can be dying but because you will do something for yourself you are refused, where others that lead a perfectly good life even having carers receive full payment. Dave x

Sorry to butt in "Personal Independence Payment" a disability benefit being phased in to replace disability living allowance in some situations
