Post Ablation - Vision Problems

Hi everyone,

I had a cryoablation nearly 3 weeks ago (unfortunately i'm back in persistent AF) but have for the past couple of weeks been experiencing intermittent vision blurriness (need to blink), eye strain feeling around my eyes, dry eyes and the occasional headache. I wake up each morning fine, put on my glasses on and then I gradually start to have the problems. I went to the opticians last weekend and he checked my prescription, look at the back of my eyes etc and everything was fine, though I do have some eye muscle weakness. I also had a optical migraine ( lasted 30 minutes) a couple of days after the ablation.

Is this normal? I have read of others experiencing visual flashes.

I'm taking Bisoprolol and Apixaban

MIgraine aura post ablation is quite common and due to the transpetal puncture. Should go away in a few weeks.

Yes the visual migraine seems common post ablation. It lasted 2 weeks with me. X

THis is quite common after ablation, as others have said it will settle in a short time. BEst wishes.

I had this post Number 2 ablation a couple of times within the few weeks after. I'm now 6 months post ablation and was getting new headaches and my right eye was feeling different but like you eye test last week said all ok. I tend to get problems with my eyes when I am run down.
