I can't remember what mg dosage each Sotalol tablet come in. I have certainly taken a double dose in the past and when I moved around felt I could collapse at any time. I rang my AF nurse and she advised me to sit as much as possible. Once in hospital I was given two tablets at night and collapsed next morning when I got out of bed. I may just have been sensitive to them. I would seek medical advice just to be on the safe side. Jean

Seek medical advice. Better safe than sorry.

I've been told that I can take a maximum of 360 mg per day...I'd go to A+E being Saturday as sometimes excess Sotalol can cause irregular rhythms which need medical intervention.Try to keep calm..let us know how you've gone on.

Hi Wow :-) slightly off topic but since I have begun taking powerful drugs that must be taken regularly at at the same time each day I have resorted to using these little boxes which I fill at the start of the week..

There are plenty of different ones from which you can choose. I am very forgetful and feel a lot happier now a degree of uncertainty has been removed knowing I won't take a double dose of meds.

I also wear a simple Medicaid wrist band which acts as a reminder to me to take my medication as as well as an alert should I have an accident. The silicone ones are great, they are waterproof and the band colours can be changed.

Great idea! ...I just confused my sleeping pill with the Sotalex....A proper tablet box would have saved me all the worry.

Thanks everyone!

I'm happy to say that I had no I'll effects from the extra dose. I was afraid to take my normal dose this morning, so, hopefully, this evening, I will get back to normal!!

I take 80mg of Sotalol twice a day and can take an extra one when AF kicks in. I was told to leave it one hour if I had just taken my normal tablet. Maximum daily dose is 360mg.

Hi sorry to jump in, my dad accidentally took his 120 sotalol twice tonight with a hour space apart so all together 360 in a day, he's gone to sleep it off but I'm kinda freaking out and want to know if I should phone an ambulance or trust him, thanks.
