Hi Rastogis
I assume you are in the UK, I suggest if your GP is closed by now, ring 111 and ask their advice.
But I suspect they will tell you to sit tight, it's not a huge increase and unlikely to do anything dramatic to you, but I am not medically trained so please ring 111
Be well
Ian
Hi Rastogis
I agree totally with Beancounter. Just give the NHS medical helpline a call on 111, tell them what you've accidentally done and ask their advice. It's so easy to do and I can tell you I've taken a tablet dose twice in the past, but I did ring for advice as soon as I realised.
Please let us know how you get on.
Jean
No need to contact medical help. This question really should be in the FAQs. As already said, 10mg +3mg is not very much extra. The body will work it out. Do not even bother to test for at least a week. Leave it two weeks.
In addition, you have a lot of margin. Your target range is 2.5 to 3.5. Other heart conditions have a higher range. Any INR below 5 is safe -- it only starts getting dangerous above 8.
if you really want to do something, which is reassuring, eat a little more high Vit K food for the next few days.
Incidentally, why 8mg five days then 10mg 2 days. 60 divided by 7 is roughly 8.5mg per day. This is easy enough to achieve by breaking tablets. You can also get 0.5mg tablets, which are breakable. Stability of dosage is a great help.
Eat some green veg - spinach, broccoli and this will help a little to counter the effect.
