That really is dreadful. I may not have understood correctly but was it cancelled because there was no bed available? That would make sense and one can only conclude that your bed was taken by a patient who had complications and was kept in longer than expected. This does happen but no comfort to you when you have psyched yourself up for it. Take care only two more weeks.

Apparently all beds in hospital occupied due to patients coming in as emergency in all depots it was cancelled because bed manager had no beds anywhere , just another fact of life !
I'm sorry to hear this it must have been such a let-down for you! I would have been disappointed if it had been me.
When I had my first ablation, it unexpectedly took 6 hours and the person who was meant to have one after me had his cancelled and I really felt for him. Why did mine take 6 hours, well I really don't know, it was in the days when I never questioned anything.
I hope your ablation on the 14th July is successful.

What a let down for you. Especially as one gets ' geared up for the procedure. Let's hope July 14th is the one.
Best wishes
Sandra
Yes i am sure well not sure but hopeful it will go as planned.
How disappointing for you. I hope it all goes well in a couple of weeks time.
awful!! hope all goes well on 14th!
Thanks Rosy ,these problems are all down to not enough money in the health service, they need more beds send space, vicious circle that means they need more nursesnot easily solved in times of austerity
What a disappointment. Much empathy and good luck next time.
I was very antsy about my procedure too. Of course I went thru all the what if's. These folks are professional and your well being is No.1. Stay cool. I was fortunate enough to have been almost exactly on the time schedule I was given. The overnight stay is very important. My nurses checked vitals and surgery sites every hour. Changed bandages as needed ect. and made my stay very comfortable (considering). I'm sure all will go well.
