We have annual worldwide cover with SAGA, I'm 67 with AF. About £300 pa.

We went with them because my family made quite a substantial claim when insured with SAGA and all went well. That was a few years back.

I can recommend Allclear travel insurance. My insurance for 23 night cruise to West Indies was almost half Staysure etc. A friend of mine with a recent AF diagnosis was quoted £800 by Saga for 7nights Europe and £130 by Allclear.

Further I had to make a claim a few weeks back for a last minute ....2 days...cancellation of a cruise and it was settled with minimal fuss.

Another vote for All Clear, they covered my sister who has AF for a trip to the USA last year and it was £1400 less than the other quotes she got for the same cover!

Yes, differential was same for me as W Indies same classification as US.

Saga cancelled my TI 2 days before travelling whereas my old faithful Travelinstance4medical covered me despite waiting for tests & 2 A&E admissions & all for the same price. World First is also good but always ring rather than internet.

Happy Travelling.

AXA PPP Healthcare cover pre existing conditions and as long as you are not travelling against doctors orders, then you are covered.

Try World Travel as I've used them in the past. But also if you're willing to type in all the details any direct-meerkats type site will give you a comparison. I ended up with Aviva for a 1y worldwide travel policy last time.

Basically heart problems are red flags, but AF is quite minor (!) So a low risk.

Good luck

I'm with Avanti travel insurance. Not had to make any claim so can't comment on experience.
