Radiofrequency (RF) ablation or Cryoablation appear to do the same thing what makes an EP choose one over the other?
I don't really know. My own GP has had an Ablation, she's out of AF but still takes warfarin. My point was the tissue damage. Ask them why are you damaging my heart? It's an electrical problem.
I was first offered an RF ablation that I turned down as I was not taking Warfarin. Later the same EP suggested an AV node ablation as I had a pacemaker. That did not happen and now another EP suggests a cardioversion and a Cryoablation .
Either they just pick a card from the pack of they have a reason for each offer.
If I'd known about their open day I could have asked
