I am taking an anticoagulant medicine and am an avid tattoo collector. I haven't gotten tattooed recently but am considering it. Any advice? Experiences?

Do you usually bleed when tattooed? If so then this may take longer to stop than before. I know that acupuncture is seldom a problem but not sure how deep the tattoo needle goes. Not my taste but each to their own. I would discuss with your tattooist and explain as I am sure if they are reputable they will understand and know the answer.

Yes you are obviously more likely to bleed, which may bother the tattooist, but shouldn't be a big problem.

The first thing I would do is speak to my GP and take medical advice,if anything went wrong e.g.infection or blood poisoning, who knows what trouble you could be in.

Are you guys addicted to tattoos. I just don't get it. There has to be some kind of psychology working here !

And just how a lady can deface herself with such ugly adornments........ who (or what) do they attract ?

in reply toEmsysy

Each to their own I say

Tattoos aren't meant to "attract" per say. They are an artistic expression of the artist and collector.

But should this artistic expression be displayed on nature's ( or God's) most wonderful creation ?

Mines not on display at all times

The answer is NO. There are too many risks. Bleeding, obviously, infection yes. Please do not put yourself at risk of harm. I bleed at the slightest scratch. Keep well and steer clear of tattoos.
