Thank you to all who wished me well today. Guess what cancelled again 3 times now. I had just come to terms with today and tomorrow, thought that by this time next week I should be on the way to recovery;

Any one else had this sort of trouble?

Will keep you informed.

Muriel

Oh no, so sorry. Sadly a sign of the times within the NHS. Time for change is long overdue the service can't continue like this can it. Best wishes and hope you soon get another date and You get your treatment .

How disappointing for you, I think it is a very common problem usually caused by a lack of beds for recovery. Agree it is a sign of the times and it is about time we had a dialogue about how we fund the NHS - but that doesn't help you now.

Best wishes

So sorry to hear this, it's stress you can do without. Did they explain why it was cancelled?

I understand totally how you feel. In January my consultant said my case was severe and that I needed an urgent ablation and to ring in four weeks if I hadn't heard anything. I did just that only to be told I had been referred to another hospital due to lack of funding. When I telephoned the new consultants secretary I was told I would have to wait between 12-18 weeks for an appointment to see him. So I have gone from urgent to the bottom of another consultants list. The original consultant said nothing to me about lack of funding which made the whole situation worse for me as I feel I was completely misled. I do hope you don't have to wait too long before you get the procedure done.

Hi, I do feel for you, we all have some degree of anxiety when going for procedures and to keep being delayed is very stressful. I do hope you soon get some good news. I went down to the NHS march in London on Saturday to show my belief in how proud I am of our much treasured NHS. This is not a political statement,as an ex nurse I just feel sad at the way things are at the moment. I hope everyone waiting for treatment to help with our AF problems doesn't have to wait too long. Best wishes Kath
