Just had phone call from St George' s admissions coordinator. A cancellation has arisen for Friday and did I want to take it? Been on the waiting list for 6 months so said yes please!
Fingers crossed it will sort my Af out to NSR but a bit worried reading all the stories on this forum..

Lucky you! Great when you don't have a lot of notice.
Do remember that many of the successes are no longer posting on the forum.
I had a partial ablation 2 weeks ago, it dropped my heart rate by 10 percent which makes daily activities more tolerable for me, if they are goin for something not in the av node i say go for it.
If it were me I'd take it it. Your doc obviously thinks you need it, you obviously trust him or he wouldn't be operating on you and no point letting cardiac probs get worse by waiting unnecessarily. And less time to worry and play(my favorite) the 'what if' game in your head pre-op is a plus. Also many people have a more difficult time with ablations, but if you read the whole story more come out alright in the end. Wishing you a smooth sailing. irina1975
I have had two ablations in a month. I have had a few Issues but if I need to in order to reduce drugs and keep in NSR I would have another two. Best wishes for yours.
Good luck for your op. Just don't forget to come off your medication in plenty of time as my wife has had an angiogram operation cancelled because of wrong information about when to stop her tablets given on the forms.
Don’t worry. Easier said... mine was nov 2013 and af free since. Be prepared to take things easy and be PATIENT. I had all sorts of bumps and erratic beats which too 5 months to settle down. Also higher resting heart rate for almost a year. But all good so far. Good luck 🍀
I had two ablations last year for PAF,one in April which didn’t quite fix me and the second in August. Both times I had a phone call mid afternoon asking if I can be there for 8am the next morning. I certainly jumped at the chance and before I knew it, it was all over. It has been six months now and (touch wood) everything is going well and have had no AF just a few ectopics. Good luck 👍🏼
Just had a telecon cancelling my ablation op tomorrow for an emergency op on someone else. Understandable but so frustrating as had built myself up for it, had the preppy yesterday etc...
