So tired.

I am taking one and a half mg of Bisopronal. is this what's making me so tired ? Most of the time I feel worn out. In December I was diagnosed and I have never felt right since. I see some people are taking a much higher dose so if it is this the cause of me being tired , I hope they don't increase mine. Also on Warfarin.

Hi there they did try me on Bisopronal when I was first diagnosed but I couldn't cope with the side effects so they switched me to another drug which I settled on. so maybe time to see gp again and talk over your options, I'm afraid they do take some getting used to In my experience anyway. Good luck hope you get sorted xx

Many people feel exhausted on very low doses of Bisoprolol, so see your doctor to discuss a possible change.

I found the side effects of Bisoprolol horrible - fatigued all the time, couldn't concentrate ... I've been changed to digoxin- much better.

Hi I was on 2.5mg dropped to 1.25 mg stilled felted tied so I now take it at night instead of the morning and it has made a huge difference not so tired not bouncing of walls but not feeling any where as tired as I was and I'm able to cope through the day hope this helps worth a try I wish you well x

in reply toOver60locker

Thanks I will taking it at night.

I take a tiny 1.25mg nebivolol, and yes, I'm very tired even with that dose. My gp said as it's such a tiny dose I can stop it (temporarily) as it can't be doing much for me. I stopped and boy, what a difference but my pulse rate soared. It seems that teeny tiny 1.25 does do what it's supposed to! I can't tolerate bisoprolol, maybe ask to try a different beta blocker?

I think Bispoprolol (5mg twice per day) made me tired and depressed - it's difficult to be certain because I had many changes all at once but I felt much better after switching to Diltiazem.

I think the medics start with Bisoprolol but are quite prepared to switch if patients suffer side effects.

Metroprolol was better for me.

I was on 10mg Bisoprolol plus 125mcg digoxin up to about a year ago but was so wheezy and tired just walking about, the GP changed me to 240mg Slozem (diltiazem) and 250mcg digoxin once a day, and on Warfarin anyway (stable at present.) Felt much better on Slozem which is a calcium channel blocker, wheezyness gone, not so puffed after walking uphill. AFib seems under control. BUT, over last few months have been feeling increasingly tired, lethargic and less interested in doing things/going places. I'm 73, so been putting down to age! But beginning to wonder whether I should go back to GP. Don't want to risk upsetting the Afib though if dose reduced. How tired is too tired?

I am on 10mg which I take in 2 doses of 5mg. In a high dose like this it controls my blood pressure as well as my heart rate. Took a month or two to get used to it but fine now

I am on 5 mg daily amongst 10 other drugs for paroximal a/f

I had a heart attack 10 months ago For which I had a triple by pass and 1 stent.and feel tired all the time my get up and go has gone and find it difficult to motivate my self having become a couch potato. I never used to be doing gardening bowling loads of DIY etc nowI feel cold all the time doc says it the Clopidogrel and apixiban, I saw the cardiologist on 28feb who said I was fine and that I would be on the ''clopidogbite'' and apixiban for ever until I croak it. Signed me off repeating that I was fine, if that's so I'm glad that I am not ill.

Thanks all for your helpful replies about being tired . I will give the Bisoprolol another week and see my doctor if thing don't improve . Kate.

Not really much better . I have stopped taking my 10mg steroids to see if that helps. I will ask my doctor next week about bisoprolol.
