I was wondering if acupuncture can help with AF. Also if eliquis is taken, would that cause bleeding (needles)?

AF & acupuncture & eliquis
Hi Alizuna
I have no idea if acupuncture would help AF, but nothing to worry about with bleeding, all anti-coagulants do of course interfere with the coagulation process but I've had acupunture a number of times and they have never drawn blood, the needles are so thin the skin close up around them, and you will not bleed internally
Be well

I have tried acupuncture but for me it wasn't effective, but, it may be different for others. I am on Warfarin (Coumadin) and there was no bleeding.
Thank you!
No I don't think it will make any difference and no it won't cause bleeding - the needles are so fine and don't go to any depth. Never even had a bead of boood with acupuncture.
It will help you relax though.......
On Eliquis and tried course of acupuncture. No bleeding but sadly no improvement in AF either.
I have had acupuncture for the heart/stomach connection. The only time I got blood was in my hand and my acupuncturist asked if I had a headache. She said blood shows up after the needle if there is inflammation in the area being treated. The area of my hand was for my headaches and yes I did have a headache and had not told her so.
