I have returned after discussing my options with the cardiologist. The first thing is to have a TOE. If that is clear then progress to the ablation. with a 60-70% chance of success. My other options if it hasn't moved is surgery to remove it or I have an option for a pacemaker which will take more thought about as it is non reversible as they ablate at the same time as implantation. At least I am now moving forward. I have agreed to try to take Varapamil as the cardiologist has said that the breathlessness is due to the fast heartrate and it may help to slow it down.. Now I have movement forward and all available option available.

Hopefully your cardiologist will guide you to choose the best option for you. x
Progress! Let's hope you are now moving forwards instead of standing still and that the TOE gives you the all clear. 60 - 70% is a fair chance of success.
