Ablation - 6 month review......

I am pleased to say that my EP was pleased with progress and he is arranging for me to be checked in 6 months by the local Arrythmia Nurse team, and if all goes well, annually thereafter. He has taken me off the Flecainide (2 x 50 mg), but staying with the Diltiazem for the time being because my blood pressure is a bit high. As expected, no change to Apixaban. Naturally pleased with the outcome, but going to try and reduce the BP a bit so that I can dump the diltiazem too. Sorry Ian, the BP monitor has to come in out of the cold.......he wants weekly checks!!

Good news the John. Ease off the flec rather than cold turkey would be my advice. I used propafanone rather than flecainide and could not just stop that as I had a few funnies. Eased off it over about six weeks.

Thanks Brenda, no trips planned as yet, 'er indoors wants some stuff done in the house first, but come the spring!!! The 17th is not far away now, and hopefully your bug has gone so that you can get yourself sorted out in time for the spring too.....all the best, John
