Platelets and NOAC's

I have just received the results of a PSA blood test and my yearly diabetic blood tests.....All good and in normal range. All except my platelet count which my dr suggests it is low. I take Apixiban and I am in Persistent AF. May I ask if people with the knowledge on here think that the Apixiban may be the reason for the low platelet count. I have another blood test scheduled for next week I respect and trust my doctor but sometimes AF and the treatment is not widely understood by our GP's. Thanks S always. Roy

This is only from a personal point of view. I have had Apixaban for a year and a half and do not have any platelet deficiency. But I add I am not diabetic. This may be your clue.
