AF Stress Related?

Partly in jest, partly serious, but I find our house location quite scary in storms, although wonderful at all other times. I think I must be susceptible to stressful situations, as I tend to get very wound up at times like this whereas my husband has a "Que sera" attitude and sleeps soundly, whatever the problem.

Last Thursday night must have been fun!! I agree with you about being stressed and waiting for the next whump (plus a ton of water in your case). My husband calls it 'the price we pay' to live in beautiful surroundings - but the roof tiles rippling still scares the willies out of me.

Enjoy your lovely views, even on rough days.

Ha, Finvola , I have to smile myself when I realise that I draw my knees up to my chin in bed with the approach of each large wave. 😂

Wow! What an exciting and wonderful place to live, though I agree, there is the potential there for a little too much excitement! Stay safe, breathe deeply, and savor the best of it!

Crumbs, it's beautiful but I have to admit I couldn't live there. How far below your house is the sea when the tide is in and crashing?

jeanjeannie50 , At Spring tide, depending on the wind strength, it can break over the roof. We've lost a few things over the years, like the car, the garden etc.

Oh my goodness, I couldn't cope with that! No wonder you feel stressed at times. I live by the sea in South Devon, its just 5-10 minutes walk away, fortunately my house is on a very high hill. I'll never moan about walking up it again.

Hi all, Stress related? At times I have been very upset with our sons girlfriend which I believe was definately a trigger to start my Afib. Then at other times I believe I didnt have a worry or problem in the world and the Afib would suddenly start.

Mine would last initially about an hour while within 6 months they increased to 20 sometimes over 30 hrs.

One day I woke up from a scary dream and realized my Afib had started.

Making sense, not really but I think subconsciously my Afib is affected as well somehow. I have been on Fecainide for 3 months now and havent had Afib at all anymore.

Good luck
