Is there anybody out there that can help? I had a second Ablation eleven weeks ago and since then I'm exhausted, tired, breathless on the slightest bit of exertion and feeling very cold even in my permanently warm home. I don't have my post op assessment for another five weeks. ☹️🤑

Hi Exasperated. I don't blame you. That's a long time to feel exhausted. Have you phoned your EP to speak with him/her about it. It seems some communication is in order before having to wait another 5 weeks. One other question, do you have any chronic heart issues aside from the AF? Have you had any general bloodwork done, like a thyroid or calcium level drawn, as both of those can cause that type of symptoms. Don't just suffer for another 5 weeks, see your primary care and ring up or email your EP. Take care.
It's horrible isn't it when you don't know whether what you are experiencing is normal or something that requires attention.
I've had three ablations and after my second, I felt at my worst! I had it carried out several years ago at the start of June and I can remember going up to stay in London late August and walking through Regents Park with my family and I just had to stop and sit and rest while they walked on - I felt totally exhausted and couldn't go on! I wanted to just sit for ever and never have to walk anywhere again. Now, whether it's normal to still get so dreadfully tired so long after an ablation I really don't know. After my third one I was fine almost immediately. So please don't expect to feel exactly the same as you did after your first ablation.
Tomorrow morning I would ring the hospital where your had your ablation carried out and ask to speak to your consultant's AF nurse. They are always very helpful and I'm sure they will offer some good advice that will put your mind to rest. They can even get you in to see your EP a lot quicker if its felt that's what's needed

Thank you for your response as it does give me some hope! I admire you for being brave enough to go through the procedure for a third time. Hopefully you will continue to enjoy good health.
Thank you SRMGrandma for your response. No I don't have any underlying heart condition. In fact I was assured my heart was structurally sound. My thyroid and other blood tests have come back as being within normal limits.
Hi Exasperated - I get your concern as something similar happened to me after my second, no AF but still symptoms of extreme fatigue and breathlessness - turned out it was something else entirely. SRMGrandma makes some good points, best to have it checked as soon as possible, if you can get an earlier appointment.
Best wishes CD
