Just back from a completely knackering (medical term) 2 week trip to Thailand during which I had loads of ectopics on top of the usual once a week or so Afib episode.I touched down in Blighty on Thursday and I've been in the most robust NSR ever since as I attempt to recover from jetlag. Feeling as rough as I do, I would normally expect some Afib, ectopics and possibly even a flutter episode - but nothing.
The only fly in the ointment is a resting HR of mid 70s, whereas it's normally mid 50s.
I had an ablation in July and this pattern very much reflects the first few weeks of recovery that then led to NSR for a month or so before settling back to a HR of 55 and weekly bouts of Afib.
I'd welcome any thoughts and observations from the group. I'm wondering about the relevance of the international travel and associated knackeredness and whether it's the ablation still working its way through after all this time.
Or maybe, just maybe, I should rekindle my dream of a career as an international playboy to affect a cure. I wonder if I could get the lifestyle on prescription from my GP.
