Well I did it

This morning was full of trepidation and nerves of should I shouldn't I, but apart from the cannula not wanting to go in for anaesthetic all was a brief dream,

Currently on ward being looked after, noticed one or two missed beats, but here's hoping for positive outcome...

Thank you one and all..... especially flipflop you were a godsend

Congratulations! I hope you have not just turned the page but moved on to a new chapter. It's been a wonderful opportunity for you and, yes, a bit nail biting but may it be a huge success.

juggsy, so glade to hear from you I have been thinking of you all day. Now rest, your on your way and you will never regret the decision that you took. Well done

I will do, feeling ok, having an ectopic beat every so often, which I was hoping I wouldn't but I know it's early days yet so we will see

So pleased it is all done and dusted. Bet you feeling more relaxed now. X

Not really, still wondering if it worked or not, I apparently needed cardioverting back to nsr once the ablation was done, wondering if this is a bad sign that it didn't flip back on its own

Morning

I have always had to be cardioverted during ablations. Nothing for you to worry about.

Hope you are feeling OK

Pete

juggsy I have just seen this post I too was converted back to NSR I did ask about this and was told that Dr Ernst was very pleased with the way it went and that some do and some do not have to be cardioverting back, it does not mean to say it has not worked if it had not you would have been told I am sure of that. Please try not to worry yours as well as mine I am sure is a success story. Dr Ernst is clever there is no wriggle room to make mistakes on this trial there is too much riding on it.

Here's hoping so Barbara

Good luck you, early days, stay bright, stay well and stay AF free :-)

You were courageous to take the decision to say yes and to go ahead. You had your moments of doubt but look at you! Well done and I wish you a speedy recovery. Take it easy and keep us updated.

I had both done at the same time (AF and A-Fl) and have not looked back. A few ectopic runs, slight tachycardia once or twice but SO SO much improved. Would do it again in an instant if needed. In fact, I have already discussed with my wife and cardio, if my AF ever comes back I want it done immediately, not waiting for it to get worse like last time.

(Its funny how we talk about our AF like its a pet, we assign ownership to it and talk about it belonging to us! Its a bloody tachy arrythmia, not a cat!)

So glad you went through with it. It'll be my turn on the 9th Nov.

Take care and enjoy the rest.

That'll be the difficult thing for me to not do anything but I know it's for my own good.

Good luck for the future hoping it all works out for yo.u
