After my ablation 7 days ago I now have hard lumps under the wound sites in both groins. Tell me this is ok.., they don't hurt 😊
And finally...: After my ablation... - Atrial Fibrillati...
And finally...
Hi Lindabob, It is not uncommon for the soft tissue under the wound to feel hard as it heals. As long as it doesn't look infected....red or hot to the touch, and it isn't painful or bleeding you will be fine. Just like you can't see your heart healing, so too the other tissues that were banged up a bit during the procedure. Heal gently! Peace!
This is normal. Relax! It may take a while for the wounds to heal as they were before it all happened and no doubt you have some colourful bruises as well but again quite normal. Some people also have some discomfort as well so you are well off compared.
Yes, sounds ok to me, I had one long hard lump in the groin, 9 weeks later it's virtually gone.
Hi Linda - Yes, I had the same and my one was so hard I was convinced something had been left inside me. I sought advice and was told it was normal and it eventually disappeared.

I had my first ablation 2 weeks ago and yes chickpea sized lump in right groin that was a bit sore for about 10 days but now not sore and bruising nearly gone. Made sure I wore loose pants so not to aggravate it for those 2 weeks
I too had a lump on one side of the groin, rang arrhythmia nurse after 7 days and she was not concerned as was not painful. It's now week 5 and lump has disappeared so don't worry.
