Having an angiogram today

Any advice

Had a stress MRI that showed historic heart attack. Didn't even know I'd had one. So now very worried I'll have another one . Having angiogram to check if any problems. If I need a stent do they do it at same time ?

Thanks

As my Dad used to say you are at where you are at. You can only move forwards from where you are and only look back to learn about moving forwards.

At least it has ben picked up now and good luck with the stay / procedure.

Take a sports drinking bottle with you as you will have to lay flat for a while afterwards. Stent I think depends on who is doing angiogram and how bad or not any blockage is. Good luck. Mine was clear but that was about 20 years ago.

Sorry you have probably had the angiogram now ! Hope it went well I had one thurs and it was purely diagnostic so if I had needed stents I would have had to have another procedure ( I have 2 stents already performed during an emergency angiogram) whatever the result don't forget lots if rest after , the sedation made me feel euphoric after and I did too much the next day (cleaning, walking😁)paid for it later with some weird heart feelings lol! So take it easy for at least a week ,more if you're stented x

Hi

Thanks for reply

Procedure went ok. Arteries are ok so no stent. Starting to fur up more to do with age than food. So prob start on statin and have to decide weather to stay in

AF or try different drug and cardio version but still here 😄😄😄😄

Last cardio only lasted 2 days. Think I've been in AF for three years

They should plan for the need to do that at the same time.

What is a stress MRI?

Normal MRI SCAN but they inject something to make the heart work hard to see what shows up its instead of going on a treadmill
