has anybody experienced pains in upper left arm and shoulder have been on rivaroxaban for 6 weeks flying to lanzarote in 2 weeks unsure whether to cancel have not seen cardioolgist as of yet have medical insurance in place so i am covered
What is your concern regarding the pain in upper arms?
We would need more info in order to comment about travel so:-
How long have you been taking Rivaroxaban?
Have you got a specific diagnosis of lone AF for which you are taking Rivaroxaban?
Are you waiting on any tests?
Have you declared all of this to your travel insurer? if not you would need to before you travel as your cover could be voided if you needed to make a claim.
Having covered all of the above, and assuming the pain in your upper arms has been checked out and is nothing serious, go fly and enjoy your holiday!
Go and see your GP please, ask him to check out what is causing the pains, could be anything, but not a usual side effect for Rivaroxaban.
Plus re insurance, you are obliged to inform your travel insurer of any changes to your health as they happen, and before you travel, You could end up uninsured if you fail to tell them of any changes since taking out the policy.
