Is this just weird?

Hi

I have been having double vision since December (no stroke or TIA been checked). When I walk about it makes me feel a bit sick and several times it has sent me into AF,most annoying. Anyone else experienced this?

Cheesh. That sounds miserable. Any chance it's a med or a combination thereof? I had a 15 second bout of it once several months ago, but it seems ongoing should be looked at, as possibly eye/nerve related. Eye doc told me sometimes brief pressure on ocular nerve could cause.

Have you been walking about with this since December without getting it checked out. ? This is not an AF symptom. I think you need to get this looked at. What does the optician say. ? You might think about a neurologist. My partner has double vision but she has Multiple Sclerosis.

Get it checked out.

Be well

Thanks. Started on 31st Dec so holidays held up seeing doc but seeing Ophthalmologist on Monday hopefully get more help.

It's very good that it's not stroke or TIA but you need to push the docs to find the cause, it's obviously not helping your AF and sounds horrid.

I am not a doctor.....but.....I know double vision could be related to a number of nasty eye/neuro. conditions so get help/advice soon and do not wait and wait in the hope it will go away.

Hi I was having blurred vision for about 12 months then I had a Tia since I went on blood pressure tablets the blurred vision has settled down some days it returns but not as much as it did I think you should have your blood pressure checked before I had the Tia my doctor dismissed the blurred vision had anything to do with my blood pressure and told me to get my eyes checked I did but the blurred vision did not improve but when I had a Tia and went on blood pressure tablets the blurred vision greatly improved.

Thanks for your reply. In March I was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis and spent 4 weeks in hospital. It did ,however, involve being taken off all heart bp meds. Double vision did improve with pyridstymone, steroids etc. Bad news is I'm in permanent af after 2 cardioversions which didn't hold. Now on 7.5 bisoporol and ramipril. Shake (but not rattle and roll) and need a stick for balance. Drs find it hard to know which symptoms are mysthenia or af. Off for my 7pm cocktail of drugs. Ahh life is so thrilling!!
