Weird or is it ?

I’m on 5mg of bisoporol and 200mg of Flecanide per day

I’m in AF 50% of the time , 1 day in 1 day out etc .

When in AF my BPM is circa 96 average

When out of AF it’s 54bpm

I had Cryoblation 10 weeks ago

So the weird thing , or is it ?

When I’m in AF I can walk around ok and I can get a bit tired and spaced out but nothing too serious

When I’m in NSR I get out of breath more and when walking It’s more difficult and I feel like I have indigestion and slight bloated feeling around diaphragm

It’s like I’m more comfortable in AF than out at the moment

They have upped my bisoporol from 2.5mg to 5mg per day around 3 weeks ago .

Am I mad or has anyone experienced this

Too much bisoprolol, too slow heart rate would be my guess. Also bisoprolol can affect your breathing, not advised for asthmatics, maybe you didn’t notice at a lower dose. The higher HR would boost your circulation and clear congestion I think. Interesting to see what others think.

I agree 100% with what you say Buffafly. I noticed breathing problems too when I was on Bisoprolol which at the time attributed to cat allergies. Symptoms stopped when I changed meds.

Agree with Buffafly. Probably the increased dosage of bisoprolol, but may also be complicated by still in recovery period from recent ablation. Discuss symptons and bisoprolol dosage with your ep and/or substituting or add a calcium channel blocker like Diltiazem.

It sounds like the indigestion and bloating may be related to undiagnosed hiatus hernia. Also bisoprolol can seem to accentuate symptoms of other conditions as well. Certainly may feel like it. It does with me.

About a month ago I was told to increase the Bisoprolol from 2.5 to 5. By the consultant A week later I was phoned to say to return to 2.5 mg. Immediately as it was slowing my heart to much.
