Hi Ann, I live in Suffolk and we have no EP's at either Ipswich or Bury hospitals so I was referred to Papworth. Saw Dr Fynn initially then was transferred to Dr Virdee who carried out my ablations last month, and who was so easy to talk to and made me feel as if I was important! The facilities are second to none, my treatment for pre op and procedure, both from medical and non medical staff, was excellent from start to finish. I have no knowledge of Norwich hospitals but would whole heartedly recommend Papworth.
Cardiology dept at Ipswich referred me to see Dr Fynn, EP from Papworth, in March this year. I think he does a 'once monthly' satellite clinic at Ipswich, I was seen by him early in May. He put me straight onto his list for ablation, hoping it would be a three to four month wait. in the event I was offered a date at the end of October (nearly six months) which I couldn't take, so changed onto Dr Virdee's list for 9th November.
