So sorry. I know how you will be feeling. Back to the drawing board but a bit further along than before. You have to try these things so you and your doctor's can decide how to proceed. I'm not belittling your devastation though as I am all to aware of the disappointments along the way. Have a good grumble on here. I do! X
Trevor, I can totally feel that frustration. It happened to me too. I had a cardioversion that lasted from Friday to Saturday just after my ablation in June. It is totally upsetting. In my case the reason was other things that are off balance in my system, but once they found an antiarrythmic medication that was safe for me, then the cardioversion worked with the meds on board. I really hope they can figure out what will work for you quickly. Wishing you NSR and wellness
Tough luck Trevor but it isn't all bad. That it worked at all shows that you can be put into NSR so an ablation may well be successful. Onwards and upwards.

I know how you feel Trevor...it's a real let down but stick with it. As BobD said, at least you know that NSR is possible.
I know how you feel Trevor, mine lasted a longer, 4 months, but was devastated when I went back into persistent AF. This has led to me being down for an ablation in September. Was offered another cardioversion with Amioderone on board but know that this is not a nice drug and I was told at some stage that would fail too. So have opted for the ablation but am scared stiff. I hope you get sorted soon, I am sure the medics will find an answer for you.

Trevor, Keep your end up. It is not the end of the road. I had my first ablation in March at Leeds General and two weeks later I was back into AF. Had some exciting ambulance trips to A and E but things have settled and we bang along at 110 BPM awaiting the second ablation. I continue to work (physical stuff) and take my medicines topped up with the Magnesium taurate and Co-enzyme Q10. Life continues to stay interesting!
