Some drugs can cause coughing. Most serious is Amiodarone which can cause lung damage and it may occur at any time after start of treatment. You need to get this checked out with your GP

not had this amount of coughing before, but just looked and Dr. has issued this drug, for me to start today :(

I'd agree best to discuss with GP, as although true drugs can cause caughing (also some for high blood pressure), you haven't changed meds for ages nor yet started Amioderone - your cough may have another cause. Hope you get it sorted.

I'd want to rule out whooping cough. All the best

It has developed into a full blown cold, I have never experienced such a dreadful cough though. then sneezing followed, 3rd day and feeling a lot better now. Phew.

Started coughing 2 days after the ablation and now 4 weeks later it is still there. Doctor said it could last 5-9 months. No cold or any other symptoms just this dry cough.

I am now not convinced this is not a cold, visiting GP tomorrow, coughing so badly, its making me vomit, muscles in stomach, so painful, am having a cataract done in 12 days, so it needs to be gone, as I wont be able lie still, as only done under a local :(

I cough some days a huge amount, other days barely at all. My doctor gave me an asthma inhaler, which has helped, but it is still agravated if I get a whiff of fag smoke, someone pulled along side my car the other day with their window open, puffing away, I had to pull over I was coughing so badly!!
