Any one else had this done

After having AF for 9 years , I am now in a position that I need a Mitrial repair , triple bypass ..and a pulmonary artery bypass. Ihave seen my EP every year and he was quite shocked when I filled up with water in July this year. Can anyone tell me if all three ops are done at the same time

Oh my, sorry to hear of the repair work to be done. These are questions to ask directly to your doctors! And I don't blame you for wanting to know George - get the answers you need to feel comfortable with this program!

Hi I had open heart surgery 10 years ago for a mitral valve repair, its still going strong. Also had a modifide maze at the same time. My problems started when i was 40 years old. I am now approaching 70. Sadly I also have permanent AF now, tried quite a few meds, and hoping to find one that does the trick without too many side effects.I had 8 good years after surgery, so please be positive about the operation, it does work , hope this gives you some positive thoughts for the future. best wishes and Happy Christmas x

Hi George I had Mitrial valve repair by keyhole July 2013 ask your GP to get in touch with a Mr Birdi only surgen in the country that has done key hole on the heart, go on line and look up Mr Birdi.all the best
