A bad start to the day

Every morning I wake up after a good night's sleep feeling sick and jittery. It goes away within an hour or so and I never actually vomit or anything. Does anyone else get this symptom with AF. I don't have a stressful life ....except for this weird episode!

My best guess would be blood sugar level too low . Try a milky drink before bed and if you wake in the night sip some water as hydration is very important. I used to suffer badly with hypoglycaemia when I went to work and often arrived home feeling like that due to not eating and drinking properly. I found a glass of milk and a couple of biscuits sorted it out very quickly and enabled me to enjoy dinner a bit later.

Thanks Bob, your response might well be the answer. I have a small main course meal in the evening and don't eat anything after about 7 o'clock. Just caffeine and sugar- free drinks in the evening. Will try your suggestion tonight! Thanks again.

It could be the medication hangover, if you're unlucky, which I get quite a bit. You can feel quite manky if this happens.

Thanks pip_pip I was wondering that too and hoping it wasn't!! Perhaps we should both try Bob's idea?

I definitely have a medication hangover when I get up in the morning. I take bisoprolol and flecanide at 6 .30 then go back to sleep for an hour or so. When I get up I literally feel as if I've got an alcohol hangover for about an hour and then I am fine. My evening medication doesn't have the same effect. I am blaming bisoprolol as I don't have that in the evening. X

Thanks Dedeottie and HappyJo, I don't take Flec but that's not to say it's not the Propafenone

My resting heart-rate is pretty constant at between 60-65 so I don't think it's that.

Keep well guys x
