The meds. I am taking are Bisoprolol, Statins and Warfarin. I can no longer take H.R.T. because of having had an AF related stroke. I am now waking up several times a night with hot flushes, any ideas of anything I could take to alleviate the symptoms .
I also have arthritis in my left hand and can't take ibuprofen because of the warfarin .I will take paracetamol if it gets bad but any suggestions of natural remedies that might help gratefully received.

Hello Fi , when you find something let me know. I have terrible hot flushes due to my hormone treatment post prostate cancer. Can't wait till they stop in August. Big sympathy.
Doctors are very divided about hrt. I'm still on it at 82 , it has been my friend for thirty years, kept me sane and healthy. I don't have really bad health apart from the heart problems but as my parents both died from coronary problems with no meds involved and no drink addictions. I realise that I am very lucky and don't want to boast, I wrote this post because the debate still goes on. People are all different and bisoprolol really is not for me although Flecainide and ibersartan suit me fine. Just the case of fingers crossed. Hope this helps, keep well. Terjo
Thanks everybody. Linseed and a fan it is then ! Will give anything a try .Will let you know if it works.
Terjo , very impressed you've been taking hrt for 30 years.I was taking it for 2 years prior to the stroke and it was brilliant - despite all the negative press about it I found it brilliant.

My friends take sage supplements for hot flush's and say it really works
I started getting hot flushes a few months ago and have been taking black cohosh (Remifemin) for about a month or so now and it has made a huuuuuge difference! Still get the odd one but much milder and much less frequent.
