Bleeding gums usually means gum problems so see you dentist sometime but I would see your doctor as soon as possible about pink water as this is not a good sign. Bruises tend to be normal for people on warfarin but that is a personal thing. My wife who isn;t bruises far more easily that I do and I am on it.

I would check it out with the doctor ASAP! I am on Rivaroxaban and have had no side effects other than a bit of ache in my old injured joints... which is getting better (or I am getting used to it!).

Hello moggdog

I would get the pink water checked too - I have been on Apixaban since January with no side effects so far.

Just a thought re pink water - did it coincide with eating beetroot?

Bleeding gums & the other symptoms can be a sign of problems so yes talk to your doctor and as Bob says see your dentist there is a link between gum disease and heart conditions. I take Dabigatron and don't have these symptoms now but have had gum disease and bleeding gums which needed treatment, so get them checked ASAP.

I am using a dentist-recommended mouthwash, Corsodyl and find that is really helping with my gums. If you floss, you could move to one of those water jet flossers, they are a bit more gentle. Pink water is something I'd take to the doctor definitely, sooner rather than later, they will want to check that out.

I would see GP straight away as the pink water is a bit scary to me. Goods luck and keep us all informed to what it could be.

Hi Moggdogg, On their own, these may not seem too serious, (well maybe pink water unless your eating a jar of beetroot a day !! lol), but a combination of these symptoms sounds like the possibility of some internal bleeding. How is your INR running? Has your warfarin dose been steady or recently increased? I would definitely get to the GP and discuss these symptoms with him and get professional advice. Depending on the reasons for you taking anti-coagulants in the first place, there may be some alternative meds available to you.

Good luck in getting this sorted, Mallet-head
