Can we attend the debate at parliament?
Hi Loquitir
Please take a look at: atrialfibrillation.org.uk/p...
If you would like to attend a future meeting – places are very limited, but please email jo@afa.org.uk and we will keep you updated.
Well I watched it all the way through, and was very impressed with Barry Sheerman, I thought he put his points across well, and he managed to get a committment from the government minister? (very junior if he was) that he would ask the College of GPs to write to all doctors about the use of aspirin in AF.
I must admit I thought ask?, why not demand?, this is costing the country money in stroke care and we pay their wages surely we have a right to demand?. But then I'm no politician obviously.
I also thought it was great that Barry was supported by another MP and cross party at that, some faith in cross bench politics restored.
Lastly great to hear the AFA praised, I was very pleased about that, so take a bow please AFA staff, we salute you for what you have achieved.
