Is there a group specific for Hypert... - Atrial Fibrillati...
Is there a group specific for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, or is this the place to ask related questions?
HI HCM
I don't think there is a specific group for this, what you will probably find is that many of the "Heart" groups inclouding this one the AFA group will have cardiomyopathy posts in general.
There is a Heart Community on Health Unlocked, and probably that's the best place to post you can find it here
But if you get stuck or just want to let off steam come back and we will listen, but probably not many fellow sufferers here.
Be well
Ian
I found the Cardiomyopathy Association (.org) a couple of days ago and have registered with them. Have had a nice welcome from Sarah Dennis, Information Manager. I haven't located a forum such as this AFA one yet.
I had a cardiogram yesterday and feel awful today after an uncomfortable, worrying night. Maybe a stressful 2 bus journey to reach the hospital by 9.30 in the morning rush hour through roadwork delays didn't help. A month to wait for my next appt with cardiologist. Keep taking the pills I guess.
Hope this helps and the best of luck.

Hi HCM again. I think you would find the Cardiomyopathy Association able to give more specific information. Thy don't have an internet forum, but do have a phone helpline, local support groups and a network of key contacts. You can contact them either by phone or web: cardiomyopathy.org/Contact-...
I found them very helpful

The cardiomyopathy association has a message board & a Facebook page - there are many of us on there who also have HCM. The CMA website has loads of up to date info, news on testing etc etc - do look at it if you haven't already.
