hi all . can i have a few beers yet ? been on the wagon as i had my second ablation two weeks ago .
Hi there Moggdog. A few should be OK but defining "a few" could be difficult. LOL Seriously I would stick to maybe one pint for now. Regarding the other subject, if you feel up to it why not?
Bob
Go Moggdog, glad to hear your feeling better....you can't keep a west country boy down!!!!
Your post did make me L O L, My hubby came in to see who made me laugh. Sorry I am of no help at all. Pat
Hi Moggdog. I had an ablation on Monday, and had a bottle of beer last night without any dire consequences! I tend to find that my heartrate goes up after eating, though. Don't know if that's normal (if anything is ever normal in the world of AF!). No one told me not to drink, and there's nothing in the little leaflet they gave me. I haven't tried your second question.... Yet!
Hi Moggdog -- I don't think a couple of beers would hurt, just not binge drinking . As for ' the other ' -- I know someone ( ?? ) who went into AF after a ' session ' but lived to tell the tale .
Sandra
thats what i would call a session . ty yats
Each to his own and all that. I have a beer when I'm doing the cooking and certainly have a pint if I'm out at a pub. As Yatsura says, no binge drinking - try and keep everything regular and your system will adapt. Mention this to your GF and she will act accordingly I'm sure! Happy Valentine's Day!
Ok I've braved a reply only because you can't see my red face! Moggdog I had my first ablation in 2012, two weeks after I felt wonderful, I really did, I had energy that I had not felt in a long time. I did not have any alcohol but I did indulge in the second bit. It was about 1am and my better half came up stairs to bed and I thought I would surprise him with my new found lease of life....... very short lived it was, I took a turn for the worse and ended up in A&E with AF and heavy feeling in my chest. When asked what I was doing that possibly triggered it there were a few smiles including my own! I must admit I went gung ho and should of took a more layed back approach (pardon the pun).... you can still enjoy a lovely Valentine's with your gf just take it easy so soon after your ablation your hearts still healing. I'm not giving advice but, I'm sure a very ill bit of both will do you the world of good.... but remember alcohol and excersise can trigger AF......
