Didn't have enough time with cardiologist a few months back, so didn't get enough information. Websites seem very basic. Ablation under a GA Friday and I'm sure they will be too busy to talk much to me then.
Can anyone recommend a website where ... - Atrial Fibrillati...
Can anyone recommend a website where I can read up on the ablation procedure & complications etc.?
There are excellent fact sheets on the procedure on AF Association website. Please take things easy for at least two weeks after the procedure and don 't worry when you get strange arrhythmias afterwards as this is quite normal for a few weeks/months. Ask any specific questions and somebody here will know. Sorry but I am just about to go up country for three days and don;t have a lap top.

Do not be afraid to ask as many questions that come to mind when there. They should talk though what is happening etc. I have had 3 and all of them under local. Keep your self from lifting anything heavier than a bag of sugar for a week and not much heavier the following week. You may get a few flutters that normal. They should never be that busy they cannot be asked questions.
I found good information under the sites for hospitals that are known for cardiology like
John Hopkins, Cleveland Clinic.... hope this helps!
This is a good video about it. Good luck. I had mine 4 months ago and the strange arrhythmias are beginning to subside: youtube.com/watch?v=lP1hPiE...
write all your questions down before any appt or procedure and ask ask ask
Thanks for your replies. You are right of course that I should ask all the questions I need. I'll write down a list of questions. I've also looked at You Tube and the other papers' links - thanks.
