hi afers . was meant to have my medical for my for hgv . but theres a question in 4b asking if my arrhythmia has been controlled ...

for 3 months . and the answer is no . had an attack 6 weeks ago . so will the dvla refuse my renewal ?? or will i just have to wait the 3 months ??

The problem is that you can't control AF. Sure if you have an ablation it may eliminate the AF for some years but as we all know there is no such thing as a "Cure". I know of people with AF driving buses so surely the real question is does your AF cause incapacity and if the answer is NO then you should be OK. If yes then of course no body in their right mind would drive anything let alone an HGV. The last thing one wants is to faint whilst driving!
