I see the story posted about menadione, a vitamin K precursor is effective in treating prostate cancer. In the book, Natural Strategies for Cancer Patients, Russell Blaylock goes into detail as to why vitamin E fails to treat PC. But vitamin E succinate has been shown to be fairly successful in treating cancer. It has nothing to do with being inflammatory or anti inflammatory.
Please read the book, as it contains some good science.

No. They used the most popular form of Vitamin E -- dl-alpha tocopheryl acetate -- which was the form of vitamin E that a previous Phase II trial suggested may benefit men with PCa. It is also the form that is most often found in popular supplements.

It doesn't just "fail to treat PC," it actually is a contributing cause of PC, as proved by the SELECT trial. There have been no other Phase III trials of any other kind of Vitamin E on PC, despite what you may have read.
Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are necessary for the normal apoptosis of aberrant cells and for the immune killing of such cells. Interfering with the body's normal production of ROS is dangerous. It is also dangerous to systemically increase ROS. Biochemistry isn't a game for amateur enthusiasts.
