anyone notice a spike in glucose when taking tamsulin?

I did and had to stop at the time.

just wondering. In case I need to start taking again.

my husbands type ii diabetes came back with a vengeance upon starting PC treatment including Tamsulosin but mostly from chemo, adt and prednisone.

Thank you. Sorry to hear that.

Wondering how you can attribute the spike to any one. My own urologist discounted the cause from tamsulin.

I was on a cgm at time for weeks before and once I started tamsulin the glucose was way high for no other reasons and would barely go down during night or when fasting.

BCBS took the Cgm away so I not using currently.

Wellmine did too.

I now having to take long acting insulin in am and short acting before each meal.

Having to take major countermeasures. Never take. Insulin was always predictive.

My a1c was 6.9 still high before I stated treatment.

Got Cgm .

Male patients with comorbid type 2 diabetes were prescribed tamsulosin 0.4 mg daily for management of BPH. Within 1–2 days of initiating tamsulosin, all three patients experienced worsening glycemic control (Table 1). Alternative causes for hyperglycemia were deemed unlikely and subsequently ruled out.
