Is anyone paying full price for Xtandi, or a substantial portion of it? Not looking for solutions, just curious.

Had to switch to Xtandi mid year. Had to pay 2400 my first month on it, based on my Medicare prescription drug plan. However that put me over the catastrophic stage, based on previous 6 months of 140 a month Abiraterone. So that was only payment I’ve paid until end of this year. Next next year the cap on prescription drugs is 2000, So after that it’s 0. Not bad for a drug that cost a whopping 17,000 plus a month.

Be careful assuming the $2000 cap will remain. That is one of the actions by the present administration. Remember when they tried to end the ACA. It’s all up in the air next year if the administration changes. Just sayin.

It will be expensive until generics are available. G00gle: "The terms of these issued XTANDI composition of matter patents expire in 2027 in the United States and in 2026 in Europe and Japan..." Zytiga has been generic for years, cash cost is ~100/month.
