Many miles to go, gon cut back miles so not to pressure myself to hike to the point of injury. Mostly right shoulder, not nuff muscle to pad the backpack straps.

Just really diggin all the Vintage buildings, the variety of people, the gorgeous scenery, and da food.

I think your hand gesture looked like a heavy metal rock concert gesture, obviously the peace sign in the picture. “ hook ‘em horns “ Texas college sign being a closed fist with your first finger ( from your thumb ) and your pinkie raised in salute. ( lived there 12 years in Killeen Tx ) . Hard tell’in how many more lol. Dang I’m envious buddy …. Your QOL trip is an inspiration imho.

I’m sitting here in 93f jacuzzi water, it’s gonna top out near 100f here today …there you ( all ) are windy bundled in jackets ….wow what a contrast lol.

There was steady drizzle this am, the latest Hostal rule was out by 9:30am. Most are 11/12!

So, Sat under a huge covered concrete kids playground until it abated

Next week maybe mid 70s or above

Still hiking daily, shoulder still hurts, but this time it was like mile 7ish

Feets haven't failed me yet, toe socks with foot powder and a cool Max wicking liner sock over that

Yes there was a quake down in the L.A. basin ( I forget where ) , a little 4.3 I think. Didn’t feel it up here tho. . Today , Saturday, they had a little 3.5 in the S.F. bay east hills. Didn’t feel that one here as well. We’ve had some doozies over the years here, but the two latest were more just localized.

The one on L.A. knocked some bottles off the shelves, kicked up big dust , broke some light fixtures at the epicenter.
